This page explains which technologies we use on almarecruiting.com to understand how our website is used. In June 2026 we moved our website to a cookieless approach.
In short
We do not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies, which is why you will not see a cookie banner here. Our audience measurement runs on Matomo, without cookies and with a shortened IP address. We do not build user profiles, do not follow you across other websites, and do not pass data on for advertising purposes.
There is one exception: the booking calendar on our contact page. It loads only when you explicitly click it, and is described separately below.
Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner is required when a website stores or reads information on your device that is not strictly necessary for the site to work (§ 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG). Conventional analytics and marketing cookies fall into that category.
We have removed those technologies entirely. Our audience measurement works without cookies and without recognising individual people, so no storage requiring consent takes place. Rather than asking you to agree to something we do not do in the first place, we chose the data-minimising option.
What is stored for technical reasons
Running the website does require a small number of storage operations. These are exempt from consent under § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG, because without them the site you requested would not function:
Security and load-balancing markers set by our hosting provider Framer B.V. (Netherlands, EU), which allow pages to be delivered reliably and securely
Your language selection, so that the site stays in your chosen language as you navigate
Your decision to object to audience measurement, if you choose to exercise that option. Without storing it we could not honour your objection on a later visit
This data serves the operation of the website only. It is not used for analytics or advertising and is not shared with third parties.
Booking calendar on our contact page
Our contact page embeds an appointment calendar provided by HubSpot Ireland Limited, 1 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. This calendar does not load automatically. You will first see only a placeholder with a corresponding notice.
A connection to HubSpot is established only once you click that placeholder. By clicking, you consent to your IP address being transmitted to HubSpot and to HubSpot setting the cookies required for the booking process. These cookies serve the function and analysis of appointment booking and have a storage period of up to 13 months. The legal basis is § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.
As long as you do not activate the calendar, no connection to HubSpot takes place and no information is stored on your device. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the cookies set by HubSpot in your browser. If you would rather not use the calendar at all, you can reach us by email at contact@almarecruiting.com at any time.

Audience measurement with Matomo
We use Matomo to understand which content is being read and how visitors find us. Matomo runs in a cookieless configuration.
The following is processed: your IP address shortened by two bytes, the pages you open, the referring website, campaign parameters from links we place ourselves (UTM), browser type, operating system, approximate region at country level, and the time and duration of your visit. We also record whether a contact form was submitted or a call-to-action button was clicked.
Because the IP address is shortened, we cannot connect this data to you personally. No recognition across separate visits takes place.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (DSGVO). Our legitimate interest lies in designing our offering around actual demand and improving it over time. Given how little data the method collects, our assessment is that your protected interests do not override this.
Retention: we delete raw data after twelve months. Beyond that we keep only anonymous, aggregated reports that can no longer be traced to individual visits.
Matomo is operated on our behalf by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand, as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Data is stored on servers within the European Union. New Zealand is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission under Art. 45 GDPR.
Your right to object
You can object to audience measurement at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). Objecting carries no disadvantage for you and does not affect your use of our website.
You can switch measurement off for this browser using the button below. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so that we can honour it on later visits as well.

What we no longer use
Earlier versions of this page listed Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the consent tool Cookiebot. We removed these services from our website entirely in June 2026. The transfers of data to the USA previously described here no longer take place.
Changes
Should we introduce technologies in future that require consent, we will ask for it in advance through an appropriate dialogue and update this page. Such technologies will not become active without your agreement.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. If there are material changes, we will ask for your consent again via our cookie banner.
